No. In the standard model, Aventra develops, finances, builds and operates the plant. The mill supplies vinasse and filter cake and is paid for the residue and/or shares in the results. Other structures can be considered if the mill wishes to co-invest.

Vinasse passes through the plant before going to fertigation. The digestate leaving the process retains potassium and nutrients, with lower organic load and less odour — it is still applied to the fields, with better quality.

It depends on vinasse volume and concentration, the distance to the gas offtake route and the local reference price. We run the initial assessment free of charge to answer that question with your mill's numbers.

The project is sized with the harvest seasonality in mind. Vinasse storage, use of filter cake and co-substrates, and scheduling maintenance in the off-season are all part of the plant design and commercial model.

Closed vertical reactors allow temperature, mixing and retention time to be controlled, which yields more biogas per litre of vinasse, steadier output and a smaller footprint. They also eliminate the fugitive methane emissions typical of lagoons.

Biodigestion uses technology from Paques, an international reference in anaerobic treatment. Plant engineering and integration — including H₂S removal and upgrading — is done by Aventra Energy by engineers with longstanding experience in sugar and ethanol industry.

Yes. After H₂S removal and upgrading, the gas is delivered within the specification required by the Brazilian regulator (ANP) for grid injection or vehicle use.

The CO₂ separated during upgrading is biogenic. It can be liquefied and sold for industrial uses or routed to geological storage, generating carbon removal.

Biomethane is eligible under RenovaBio and can generate CBIOs. The allocation of these credits is defined in each project's commercial model.
