Our history
AVENTRA was founded in May 2025 by Renan Lopes, following more than 25 years in investment management, M&A and executive roles in the sugar, ethanol and bioelectricity sectors. His experience includes the development, acquisition and management of industrial assets for Brazilian and international investors.
Today, AVENTRA brings together five executives, each with more than 25 years of experience in the sector. Their expertise spans complementary areas: project development and certification, engineering, construction and industrial operations.
Over the course of their careers, team members participated in around 30 sugar and ethanol projects and more than 35 biomass power plants, with a combined installed capacity exceeding 2.7 GW. Team members have followed the biomethane market since 2017, evaluating projects and technologies, and have been developing technical and commercial biomethane projects since 2023.
This experience underpinned the development of AVENTRA VECTOR™, our integrated biomethane technology platform. It combines high-load vertical bioreactors, a proprietary feeding system for vinasse and filter cake, and a native digital control and data management system.
Our mission
To accelerate the decarbonisation of industry and transport through efficient, stable and competitive biomethane production from agro-industrial residues.
We do this through an integrated solution — product, technology and services — covering plant development, financing, construction and operation throughout the contract. For the mill, a new source of value without diverting capital and attention from sugar, ethanol and energy production. For industry and heavy transport, renewable energy under long-term contracts.

Technology, operation and co-products
Proven technology, integrated engineering
High-performance vertical bioreactors using technology already in industrial operation, integrated through engineering tailored to vinasse and filter cake from Brazilian mills.
Centralised operation
The operating model provides for supervision by the Operations Control Centre, specialist support and shared maintenance, with implementation as projects advance.
Co-products as a business
Biomethane production, biogenic CO₂ recovery and the agricultural use of digestate are considered from the project’s conception.
Endura Carbon
AVENTRA also co-develops Endura Carbon, focused on infrastructure for the capture, transport and permanent geological storage of biogenic CO₂ from ethanol production and biogas upgrading. The project is under development in Brazil.

AVENTRA is a privately held Brazilian company. Its team brings together experience in investment, business structuring, engineering and operations in the energy and sugar and ethanol industries.
