Operational and road safety
Our ambition is zero accidents.
Safety is part of plant design from the first drawing. We analyse process risks before construction, prepare teams before operation and plan routes, vehicles and drivers before the first delivery. We treat every incident and near miss as information for improvement.

Process and occupational safety.
We identify hazards and assess each plant’s risks at the concept stage, with attention to biogas, H₂S, pressurised systems and interfaces with the mill. Engineering, construction and operational preparation define protective measures, maintenance requirements and safe working conditions.
Teams will be trained for each activity and follow defined working procedures. Anyone will be able to stop an activity in unsafe conditions.
Road safety.
We plan biomethane delivery with safety criteria for drivers, other road users and communities along the routes. These criteria cover driver qualifications, fatigue management, speed, distractions at the wheel and journey planning.
Logistics operations consider vehicle maintenance, the integrity of gas transport equipment, safe loading and unloading, and access conditions at mills and customer sites.
Carriers and service providers.
Safety requirements form part of the selection and contracting of carriers and other service providers. We define responsibilities, team qualifications, equipment conditions and monitoring arrangements according to each activity’s scope and risks.
When contracting third parties, we maintain coordination between Aventra, mills, carriers and customers throughout the chain.
Emergency preparedness and learning.
Each project must have response plans suited to the risks of the plant and transport routes. The plans will define responsibilities, communication and coordination with mills, customers and emergency services.
The management model provides for recording and analysing incidents and near misses to address causes and review procedures. These measures will be detailed as projects advance towards construction and operation.
