Why we bet on reactors, not covered lagoons
Covered lagoons dominated the first generation of vinasse biogas. Here is why Aventra chose a different path.

Vinasse biodigestion in covered lagoons has one clear advantage: low construction cost. But what is saved in capex is usually lost over the operating life — temperature swings, poor mixing, solids build-up and unstable gas production.
Closed vertical reactors reverse that logic. The process is controlled, output is predictable and the footprint is a fraction of a lagoon's. For a mill, that means a partner that delivers gas within specification, season after season.
